Opportunity Education Tanzania Welcomes Two New Board Members on 19 March 2026
Opportunity Education Tanzania is very happy to announce the addition of two new Tanzanian board members who bring very significant international development leadership experience in Tanzania and beyond.
Marianna Balampama has more than twenty years of experience leading large and multi-country teams, including with PACT and Feed the Children, managing complex development projects in Africa, and working with diverse stakeholders and partners, such as governments, donors, civil society, and private sector. Marianna holds a Master of International Health from the University of Basel, Switzerland, a Master of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She is also a certified Board Director and serves on several corporate and NGO Boards.
Laura S. Kikuli is the Government Partnerships Lead for Zanzibar with Imagine Worldwide Tanzania. In that capacity, Laura drives strategic engagement with the Government of Zanzibar to scale and institutionalize tablet-based foundational literacy and numeracy solutions across the public education system. Laura also has over twenty years of leadership experience across education, and governance sectors, including extensive experience leading education sector programs with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Tanzania. She holds a Master Degree in Law from Queens University, and Bachelors Degree in Law from the University of Dar es Salaam.
